Mid-Ohio Foodbank Newsletter

For this project, we were required to create a newsletter for Mid-Ohio Foodbank. We were given a booklet about the company's identity, which included fonts, colors, logos, etc. From the information we were given I decided to try to stick with the identity of the company as much as possible. I used the same fonts and colors, but tried create a new, fresh look. I started off with creating the masthead which focused on the title of the newsletter as well as the company itself. I then went in and added the body copy- which there was a lot of. I wanted to break the copy up by creating columns. Also, I used specific colors for each section in the newsletter. I wanted the reader to be able to read the headers and know what each paragraph was going to be about. I added visual elements such as notebook paper and a business card to make the text more interesting and break up the text in a way. Lastly, I added my own photographs, which I made duotone, to add a human element to the newsletter, which the identity focused on. I'm very pleased with the final outcome of the newsletter. I feel that it definitely goes along with my own creative style and fits the needs of the client at the same time.
